Making Blockchain Make Sense
We started cleverdataflow because too many people wanted to understand blockchain but kept hitting walls of jargon and complexity. That seemed like a solvable problem.
How We Got Here
Back in 2022, I was explaining blockchain to a friend who runs a small import business. She'd heard the term everywhere but couldn't find resources that didn't assume she already knew half the terminology. That conversation stuck with me.
By early 2023, we'd started testing informal workshops in Taipei. People showed up curious but cautious. They wanted practical understanding, not theoretical abstractions. So we built our curriculum around actual use cases and real-world scenarios.
What started as weekend sessions turned into something more structured by mid-2024. Now we're preparing expanded programs for autumn 2025, and the core principle hasn't changed—explain things clearly, skip the hype, show how it actually works.
What Makes Our Approach Different
We don't believe in shortcuts or overnight expertise. What we do believe in is breaking down complex systems into understandable pieces.
Real Examples, Not Abstract Theory
Every concept we teach connects to actual implementation. When we cover smart contracts, you'll see how they're used in supply chains and financial applications. When we discuss consensus mechanisms, we examine real networks and their trade-offs. Theory matters, but context makes it stick.
Hands-On Learning Environment
Reading about blockchain is one thing. Setting up a wallet, executing transactions, and seeing how data propagates across nodes—that's how understanding happens. Our labs are designed around active participation. You'll make mistakes in a safe environment and learn why things work the way they do.
Focused On Taiwan Market Context
Blockchain education often comes from Silicon Valley or European perspectives. That's fine, but Taiwan has its own tech landscape and business environment. We incorporate local regulatory context, discuss regional adoption patterns, and connect students with the community here. Geography shapes how technology gets implemented.
Who's Teaching
Our instructors come from development backgrounds and have worked on distributed systems before making education their focus.
Sienna Viklund
Spent six years building backend systems for fintech companies before transitioning to education in 2023. Has a particular interest in making cryptographic concepts accessible without dumbing them down. Believes the best way to test your understanding is trying to explain it to someone else.
Ready To Start Learning?
Our next beginner cohort launches in October 2025. Programs run for 12 weeks with evening sessions designed for working professionals. If you're curious about blockchain and tired of surface-level explanations, we should talk.
